Boys

Tim loves to watch 'chines' (machines) at work. The boys are enjoying this John Deere.

Above and below the boys are enjoying their favorite part of the library toddler story time: bubbles.

Our good friends Jami, Maddy and Brayden paid us a visit. Here Maddy is showing her middle name.

Caleb can walk while pushing this toy now. He's doing just about everything except walk.

Goldfish

We have two pets. Sam doesn't know it yet, but they might not live until his arrival home from work anyway. We took the stroller between errands and stopped at Petco to pet cats and to look at birds and fish. The goldfish and food were a grand total of $3.45, so I figured I'd give it shot. Here they are in the water pitcher with a plastic Ronald McDonald to spice up their living space.

We went out on the front porch to paint with watercolors. After I showed Tim how to color the water and then mix it, he played with the cups of water - pouring and mixing - for quite a while.

A shower for Lanie and baby Luke. All the little girls 'helped' open the presents.

Caleb is entering the 'into everything' stage.
Above: He loves the recycle bin.
Below: Caleb had one foot in a pan which was sliding away from him. I looked down to see him in a big straddle until he finally sat down in another pan.

Caleb's Nine Month Stats

22 lbs even (T was 22lb9oz)
29" long (T was 29.5")
17 1/3" head (T's was 18 1/4")
No shots today, and he didn't even peep when his toe was pricked to check his iron!

Weekend Fun

My mom and I took the boys to see balloons landing, and my folks and I took them to a little festival.

Tim and his buddy Grandpa.
Us: "Timmy, can you say 'GRAND-PA?'"
Timmy: "PA-TIS!"
...so grandpa is Pa-tis.

The boys are delighted by animals. This sweet, old dog enjoyed their visit.

First shaved ice...mmmm

Grandma and Grandpa
Tim loved that slide in the background.

Making up for lost time

Looking down at Caleb who pulled himself to standing against the dishwasher door.

Tim was running across the yard and tickling a screeching Caleb. :)

The goats at the fair were a big hit!

Back in Business

Today the new camera battery and charger arrived in the mail. Wouldn't you know it....I found ours yesterday! I told Sam that buying a new one would at least insure that we would find our old one. Now I don't have any excuses for not blogging, other than two small children.

My mom is visiting this week and spoiling me with lots of kid help and even house cleaning (post-knee surgery by seven weeks). She is making a book for Timmy with things they did on her trip, so there are several pictures of them together. My dad will also join us this weekend. Yeah! Here is Timothy and Grandma reading Rainbow Fish, a new favorite of his.

My crawling, pulling-up, putting-his-hands in the toilet, busy little nine month old.

Tim hands my mom ten letters that they count together. Then my mom reads words that the letters make, and Tim repeats her.

Here is Danger and Danger Jr. at the Library water fountain.

My mom took Tim for a haircut yesterday morning. Sorry Louise, I know he looks even more like a little boy than a baby. He at least looks more like he did as a baby in one respect - bald!

Aw - sweet cutie!

Short Update

1. Sam ordered a camera battery charger and spare battery, so we should be back in blog picture business.

2. Caleb got a new tooth yesterday on the bottom...#7.

3. Timothy said, "I'm sorry, (I sowy)" unprompted for the first time today. He had lifted and then dropped Caleb, bonking his head on the wall.
