Today I just have a link to a sampling of pictures that Jen took of Caleb:

A few favorite recent pics
Caleb is shocking me with wonderfully long stretches of sleep (9-10 hours uninterrupted).
I love this pic of Tim with his cowboy hat and animals from cousin Amy who is visiting us this week. She has been tremendously helpful.
And finally, Tim helping me with a diaper change

Busted!
This is what I got for leaving Timothy coloring (not buckled into his booster) while I laid down Caleb in his bed. (Tim threw a fit trying to tell me he wanted the crayons in the first place, since he can't say or sign it. ) I heard the tapping of the crayon and knew that Tim was coloring on the tile table...a no-no. Then the sound started to travel, and I knew I was in for more. I came downstairs to purple crayon on the wall, two doors, and the floor. Between a Magic Eraser and elbow grease it is all cleaned up now. I had to look stern while trying not to laugh. Above is Tim looking guilty, and below he is helping to clean up.
Timmy loves to put hats on by himself now, so if he sees one, he puts it on his head. There are two pictures of his wild, hat head hairdo.

Dentist and more
Little T had his first dental check-up today. It went very well, and he was quite brave. He hopped right into the dental chair and was fascinated by the ceiling TV until the dentist started looking at his teeth. He wimpered but held still and was otherwise calm.
Caleb had his check-up and first shots today (so sad!). He is healthy, and here are his stats:
Caleb at nine weeks: 13lbs 9oz, 25" long, 15.25" head circ.
Tim at 7 weeks: 12lb 4.6oz, 22.5" long, 15" head circ.
Oh, and I was delighted that Caleb slept and 8 hour stretch last night. It was refreshing for me to get 6 hours of uninterrupted sleep.

25" - accumulated snow in the yard from recent storms
Tim shovelling
The kids around here had a blast! They built igloos & forts when not sledding or snowboarding. School was not cancelled (?!), but they were kept home anyway...no busses and no residential streets plowed.
Many of you know I like P.B.
I gave Tim apples & pb which he gobbled right up. When he asked for more, I was nursing Caleb and just handed him the nearly empty jar.

More snow!
We got 8 or 9 inches of snow today. This picture was before the road was cleared.
We are so glad we can just walk from our house to see this!
We had another get together with some college friends visiting from New York. Seth and Jen hosted us all, and here is Seth with Caleb.

And finally, a new year greeting by Francis Ridley Havergal in 1874:
Another year is dawning, Dear Father, let it be, in working or in waiting another year with Thee; another year of progress, another year of praise, another year of proving Thy presence all the days.
Another year of mercies, of faithfulness and grace; another year of gladness in the shining of Thy face; another year of leaning upon Thy loving breast; another year of trusting, of quiet, happy rest.
Another year of service, of witness for Thy love; another year of training for holier work above. Another year of dawning, Dear Father, let it be, on earth, or else in heaven, another year for Thee. Amen.
